Eph. 6: 10-20
It's so easy to get mad at people for the things they do. Like when guys whistle at me or say things. I get so angry. But those people are blind; they do not know the truth. So instead of getting mad at them I should pray for them, and pray against the evil that keeps them blind. Verse 13 says, "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." The armor must be put on in order to withstand evil. Don't put it on just to take it off again. Put it on to stand, to go into battle; and, when the battle is over, be standing still!
In Ephesians, it mentions the 'breastplate of righteousness.' In Exodus it talks about the 'breastplate of judgment.' The breastplate was for the priest, and not meant for going into an actual battle, but to, like in Ephesians, battle the evil that is in this world.
